Suggestion: I am interested to see something new from Mavic. I carry Mavic race wheels. But I don't need to look at moving pictures of the R-Sys for that long.
But, more importantly, can Mavic, or someone who cares about them, make sure that all of the technical information is included on the site for easy peasy, frequently sold components, like Open Pro rims?
If you have a silver 28H Mavic old school hub, can you lace it to a 28H silver Open Pro rim? Not according to the 2007 print catalog, which doesn't list a 28H Open Pro in silver. On the site, under Open Pro "Technologies" it states, "Traditional Drilling" Um..?
(All of the other languages have the same missing information.)
Also, can all of the component manufacturers please put the effective rim diameters and hub specs needed for spoke length calculations on their websites?
And here is an idea that will help those who wheelbuild by candle light away from power grids and pcs, why not print the three digit ERD on rim labels?
If your sister or cousin is working with Mavic, can you put in a call and tell them in the next project status meeting for content to get the drillings listed, as well as the erd, and the manufacturer's suggested retail price (msrp). Thanks from all of us.
